Operational objectives Pētīt, saglabāt, attīstīt un popularizēt Latgalē dzīvojošo latviešu un mazākumtautību etniskās identitātes un kultūras mantojumu;
Veicināt starpetnisko dialogu Latgalē vēsturiski dzīvojošo latviešu un mazākumtautību vidū.
Rīkot un vadīt pētniecisko un informatīvo darbību latviešu un mazākumtautību vidū;
Popularizēt tolerances (t.sk. darbs ar invalīdiem), sabiedrības integrācijas un etniskās saskaņas idejas;
Organizēt un vadīt vēstures, izglītības un etniskos pētījumus;
Veicināt pozitīvo pieredzi ar masu informācijas līdzekļu starpniecību;
Veicināt sadarbību ar pašvaldības institūcijām, citām biedrībām valstī un ārvalstīs;
Informatīvo datu vākšana apkopošana, pētījumu un aptauju veikšana;
Veicināt dažāda vecuma pilsētas iedzīvotāju integrāciju sabiedrībā;
Sniegt nozīmīgu labumu sabiedrībai, vērst to uz labdarību, cilvēktiesību un indivīda tiesību aizsardzību, pilsoniskas sabiedrības attīstību, izglītības, zinātnes, kultūras un veselības veicināšanu un slimību profilaksi, sporta atbalstīšanu, vides aizsardzību, palīdzības sniegšanu katastrofu gadījumos un ārkārtas situācijās, sabiedrības, it īpaši trūcīgo un sociāli mazaizsargāto personu grupu sociālās labklājības celšanu.
