Aizstāvēt un pārstāvēt strādājošo jūrnieku intereses valsts, sabiedriskās, ārvalstu un citās institūcijās;
Palīdzēt pensionētiem jūrniekiem un jūrnieku ģimenēm sociālo jautājumu risināšanā; Organizēt jūrnieku tālāk izglītību, palīdzēt jūrniekiem darbā iekārtošanas jautājumu risināšanā un organizēt jūrnieku nodarbinātības dienestu; Sniegt jūrniekiem juridisko palīdzību un konsultācijas ar jūrniecību saistītajos jautājumos; Veicināt ar jūrlietām saistīta biznesa vides pilnveidošanu Latvijā; Jūrnieku un viņu ģimeņu labklājības celšanu. |
